A Very Secret Plan

A Very Secret Plan
From 1975 until 1979, Cambodia was under control of Pol Pot regime. The three years, eight months, and twenty days controlled by the Pol Pot clique, who called themselves "organization", had caused millions of innocent people dead and brought the nation the hell. At that period, no one knew that they became the victims of the regime due to a very secret plan. Cambodian people were evicted to live far away from their home and forced to overwork everyday. Additionally, they worked with eating less and had no food to eat, and some people starved and some died because of the starvation. The brutal government declared that all the people's properties had to be managed by them. No one could take even their own property. If one takes, the one abuses the law and betray the organization. The Pol Pot force took him or her to educate. Moreover, a small mistake made innocent people die. For example, they just got their crop to eat. If the forces know what they did, the forces get them to educate and say these people stole the public property and these need educating. But what they had said was not true and the truth was that the Pol Pot forces brought them to kill. The word "to educate" means "to kill". Additionally, they tried as much as possible to invite all the national scholars to come back to the country to develop the nation, yet it was not like what they had said. When the scholars came, the clique killed them all. Not only the scholars from abroad but also Khmer students were slaughtered by the regime. All in all, until now, Cambodian people are still wondering why this regime killed its own people and killed for what. These questions are still kept in mind by all Khmer people. although this country are processing the Khmer Rouge Court and also arrested the leaders of this genocide to be being interrogated and spread the information everyday on TV, its people still do not know why and what for the truth.

Boeung Kak Lake

Boeung Kak Lake
Phnom Penh is a heart of Cambodia and it is a central of commence. Most people like to live in Phnom Penh because it has almost everything which they need. From the past until now, Phnom Penh was very exciting place to live and it has not civil war but for this period, it has a big problem at Boeung Kak lake which the land was granted to Shukaku Company.
First, when the land was granted to Shukaku, the company has to provide to people who live near Boeung Kak lake a village which has 12.44 hectares for them but it excepted some families that were not effect to that company or the lake.
Next, when people approve with the company, they have no thing because the company laid them and also they provide a little bite in which it is not what they agree with. At that time, they are still destroy people’s house until some people died and injures.
When people got these stupid problems, they try to tell to police and most power people to solve that problems but it did not have any thing reply. So they try to demonstration to some places and embassies. In fact, they try to USA embassy to solve this problem. “Land at Boeung Kok was granted to Shukaku, a company owned by CPP senator Lao Meng Khin, in 2007 for a US$79 million developmet.”(1)
Finally, Boeung Kak is a part that need to develop in Phnom Penh but this company should not do like this. In my opinion, They should not sell that lake for money. It is been there since many centuries. It helps from flooding in Phnom Penh. It is collecting and storing Water Lake.

High Living Expense in Cambodia

High Living Expense in Cambodia

High living expense is one of many serious problems in Cambodia and is showing a hard challenge that Cambodia is facing now. Many people find it hard to live here for the incomes and the costs of living cannot be compared and are not suitable. Due to a low standard in industrialization, lack of materials, and human resources, Cambodia is not able enough to produce much and quality products compare to the number of people in the country. When the number of users is a lot more than what they can produce, the flow of importations from other countries, especially the counties nearby such as Thailand and Vietnam, is also increasing. This is why products are in very expensive prices because they have to include with high taxes of the importations. Furthermore, some people work hard and in a long working hour everyday but they can earn only a little money that sometimes it is not even enough to support for food in their families. Because they spend more than what they could earn, some people are living under the line of poverty. To others, they might have to have a strong saving and large numbers of them are having a low standard of living due to the prices of necessary things such as food, petrol, basic supplies, are going up everyday. Some children cannot continue to a higher education and those who are in poor families are forced or have to drop their classes or leave the schools; otherwise, they cannot help their parents to earn more money to support the living for the whole family. I strongly believe that high expense is really giving a negative effect to Cambodia in many ways and it is also the reason that the country is still in a slow development in every field.

The Speed Online to Rural Schools in Cambodia, By 01515
I was extremely interested in an article titled “Bring Rural Schools Up to Speed Online” in LIFT Newspaper. Regarding to this article in Cambodia there are millions of students who go to schools with no internet access at all even though it is in 21st century that is one of the most powerful tools that person can have for learning. According to the data from the Ministry of post and Telecommunication received earlier this month, the kingdom had 291,589 internet subscribers out of 14.8 million people total, showing that Cambodia is the one of the lowest in the world, and well behind the average in Asia 21.5 percent, and the word average 28.7 percent (Cheng...). In my though, I strongly believe that the expanding of internet to rural area might be good for rural students and residents to have an internet connection. This is because internet access can bring educational material from around the world directly to students is places that are otherwise isolated. through this electronic process. What more, it makes all of them easier to get information related to their assignments and to get what they need through this electronic process. On the other hand, there are many things both positive and negative in the internet that can affects to the rural students as well if allowing them to use internet independently.

Environmental Impact in Cambodia

Environmental Impact in Cambodia

Environment is everything around us and it is also the main point for Cambodia development. However, there are some problems of pollution and rubbish, which cause by tourists and also the local people. For example, the amounts of buses, cars and motor bikes have increased every year because of tourist. Therefore, the exhaust fumes can easily makes air pollution that is not good for human health then this dirty air also change the climate and create acid rain. As a result, if we keep breathing that dirty air, we will get sick, and also this acid rain can damages the temples and kills many fishes and plants. Thus, if we are going anywhere, walking on the street or riding a bicycle, we need to wear a mask because it can protect us from the pollution. Because the number of hotels and restaurants increased, those hotels and restaurant start to use big diesel generators which will lead to more and more CO2 emission. For this problem, the government should introduce new laws to control car ownership and cut down the amount of tourist. For example, creating, improving and increasing the public transport and help the government to reduce the amount of private cars. However, In Siem Reap is a tourism city, which people lives depend all of those tourists to come and visit. Therefore, the government needs to control and manage the number of tourist. Beside air pollution, for the littering problem the government should educate the people about the environment and provide more rubbish bins especially in the public places, and encourage the people to use it. As we can see and know that on every ceremony there are parties and celebration, and after that events finishing, there are a lot of rubbish around that areas. All in all, we need our country to have a perfect environment with fresh air that could attract many tourist come and visit, and these also can be involve in economic too because it provides many jobs and money to Cambodian people.

Pagodas have responsibility as school in Khmer society

In the past, pagodas in Cambodia are also have responsibilities as the school in the present. Monks are the teachers who teach Khmer language and morality to the children. Cambodian boy can go to the pagoda if they want to learn Khmer language and the morality of which related to the ethic and morality. Today, pagodas still have these responsibilities, especially in the countryside even there have school. I meet a lot of monks that are staying in the pagoda right now are from the poor family and their parent could not support them the study material, so they have only one choice, send their children to live and study with the monks in the pagoda.

If we look at the leader of current Cambodia, most of powerful men in Cambodia today are from pagoda, they live and study in there.

Let’s me tell you about the two different points of Cambodia Education systems of Cambodia in today.
The government has signed for two Education systems: one is public education and the other one is Education in pagoda, students who study in pagoda (monks) can have certificate and study the same subject like public students. Also, have to finish high school in pagoda too. The diploma certificates also have value as public school.
     Monks are walking to school
Monk is studying in Samdach Chuon Nath High School
When the monks finish high school, they can hold their certificate to continuous their study in the university as public students.

People should think about education

Education is very important not only in Cambodia, but all over the world. Knowledge is indeed the key to

success and in today's Cambodia, all are in pursuit of expanding their opportunities through learning.  I

believe and more learning. There are many people who have high education and can get a good job and

their life will be better than other people who have a low education.  People have to think that is why some

people who have high knowledge can get a good opportunities. When we have high education we can do

and think with a positive mental attitude. So you try your best to do something that to solve all the

problems and covert them to be better. Education is a good solution to change your self otherwise you

cannot change.
